Caroline’s POV is in italics & Marissa’s is in regular!
Expect to hopefully hear from us once a week!!!! (Sorry it’s been much longer than a week..)
Ciao friends! Wow it’s been a while - so much to catch all of you up on! Since our last update we have been to London, Edinburgh, the Amalfi Coast, and Morocco! Let’s briefly dive into each one, shall we!
Surprisingly the UK has been my favorite trip so far! Since it was spring break we had more time to see all the things we wanted and not be in a rush. There’s so many different neighborhoods we got to explore - Paddington, Notting Hill, and Kensington were so fun! We also LOVED the parks bc in Florence we’re in the inner city, so we don’t see too much green. The parks had dogs running everywhere and stretched for miles and miles, plus the swans at the pond were so serene!
Borough market lived up to all its hype!! So many different vendors in one place! The chocolate strawberries were INCREDIBLE!! One night we went to see the broadway show The Book of Mormon - it was interesting to say the least… so comical😭😭 Side note, Liberty is now our new favorite store!
Scotland was AWESOME!! We hiked up Arthur’s Seat and got to lay in some grass! Scotland lives up to its stereotype of being rainy and windy. Umbrellas broke, Barbours were brought! We had a blast!
My family came!! For a whole week! Got to show them the city that’s been my home for the past few months & explore the Amalfi Coast!
Positano was our absolute favorite. The people were kind, the cliff town had insane views, and the weather was perfect. We love to collect a bunch of sea glass!
Capri was a highlight for sure. The blue grotto was soooo fun, but the hole to get in was a bit of a squeeze. Billy had fear in his eyes and my mom and I couldn’t stop laughing, but the grotto was a mako mermaids moment and probably the most beautiful blue I have ever seen.
It was so sad seeing them go, missing Texas!!!!! Couldn’t let them leave without making them take me to get a burger for a change😉
After the UK, i had two weekends of just staying in Florence! We had been traveling non stop since we had gotten here so having 2 weeks to rest was a green pasture i didn’t know i needed! Got to take walks, and explore different shops near where i live!
Morocco was by far the coolest/most unique trip we had been on! To sum up our African experience: we rode camels, went sand surfing, got chased by moroccan men, and danced under the Sahara stars!!! It was a blast!

Anyways, as always, God has been nothing but gracious to Carol and I! Because of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross we are bound to be blessed - no matter the circumstance! We are God’s elect, He chose us before the foundation of the world & bc of that we rejoice always!!
Until next time,
Carol & Mar🤗
